Built to last, not to scale quickly

Moxie Farms is designed with permanence in mind. We are not chasing rapid growth or external validation. We are building a stable, resilient system that can weather uncertainty and continue feeding people well through changing seasons and conditions.

Longevity requires restraint, planning, and a willingness to grow only when the foundation can support it. Every decision we make is filtered through that lens.

Building something that lasts also means building something that can be learned from. We are intentional about documenting, refining, and sharing our systems so they can be replicated elsewhere. A resilient food system does not depend on a single farm. It depends on many small farms feeding their own communities well.

We are building something designed to nourish families and land for generations to come.

explore membership

More than food, a place to belong

As the farm has grown, it has become clear that nourishment extends beyond what is on the plate. People are looking for places where they can slow down, reconnect, and feel grounded in something real.

Our vision includes creating a third place on the land. A space beyond home and work where members can gather, rest, and reconnect with the rhythms of nature and food. On-farm lodging, shared experiences, and intentional gathering spaces are natural extensions of the same stewardship that guides how we farm.

This is not about amenities. It is about creating space for connection, restoration, and belonging.

Sharing what works, so it can be carried forward

Over time, it has become clear that the systems we are building at Moxie Farms are not only feeding families, they are answering questions many small farmers are asking.

How do you create stability without compromising values?
How do you serve people well without burning out?
How do you design a farm that can support a family and a future?

We believe it is important that these answers do not remain isolated.
Moxie Farms is being built as a living model that other small farmers can visit, learn from, and adapt to their own land and communities.

Agrarian knowledge is disappearing at a time when it is needed most. We feel a responsibility to help preserve and pass down the practical systems, decision frameworks, and lived experience that allow small farms to endure.

This work will take many forms over time, including written guides and practical frameworks for farmers who want to build resilient, values-driven operations of their own.

A shared commitment

Moxie Farms is not built by farmers alone. It exists because members choose to participate in a system that values foresight, consistency, and mutual responsibility.

By committing to this model, members help protect the land, support thoughtful farming, and ensure that clean food remains available to families who depend on it. This is not a passive relationship. It is a shared commitment to something better and more durable than the default food system.

Why we are building this

Our mission is simple in principle and demanding in practice. Raise food with integrity. Care for the land responsibly. Build systems that endure. Share what works. And create places where people feel supported, nourished, and connected.

We believe meaningful change in the food system happens locally and relationally. If, in our lifetime, thousands of small farms are feeding their communities through thoughtful, values-driven models like this one, the impact will be lasting and profound.

Moxie Farms is not finished. It is unfolding with intention.
