An evening that unfolds at its own pace

Guests arrive as the light is still generous. The farm is yours to wander. Visit the animals, take in the landscape, and join a guided walk through the fields and pastures where the meal you are about to eat actually began.

As the sun starts to settle, everyone gathers around the table, strangers becoming neighbors over a welcome drink and something small to eat. Dinner follows, unhurried and multi-course, shaped entirely by what the land is offering at this exact moment in the season.

Throughout the evening, you will hear from both Jennifer and Matt. Jennifer founded Moxie Farms before any of this existed, when it was still a vision held mostly in her own mind. She is the one who saw what this place could become and has kept it pointed toward that ever since. When she speaks, you understand not just what is on your plate but why this farm exists at all.

Matt is the engine. The builder, the person who turned that vision into fences and pastures and animals and harvests. He is also one of the best storytellers you are likely to sit across a table from. He will walk you through the decisions, the seasons, the failures and the breakthroughs that made this meal possible. By the end of the night, you will not just have eaten well. You will understand what you ate and why it matters.

The best table in the region.
We are certain of it.

Long tables are set beneath a canopy of trees, dressed with wildflowers cut from the farm and candles made from wax our own bees produced. As the sun drops behind the hills, the light does something particular to this place. Everything softens. Everything slows. The evening stops feeling like an event and starts feeling like an exhale.

Dinner is outdoors on a working farm. The ground is uneven, the breeze comes and goes, and you will share the evening with the occasional fly. If that gives you pause, this is probably not the right fit. If it sounds like exactly the kind of evening you have been missing, we will see you at the table.

All of us.
From big to small.

These dinners are not outsourced or handed off. Our kids help cook, plate, and serve alongside us. This farm was built by all of us together, and The Farmer's Dinner is how we share that with you. You are not dining at a venue. You are a guest at our table, and that is a distinction we take seriously.

The Details
